Setting Remote Desktop for Use with Dual Monitors PDF Print E-mail

Note: Dual monitor support is only available in RDP Client 6.0, which is only available for Windows XP and Windows Vista.

1. First you will need to open the Command Prompt on the remote server. This is the computer that you will accessing from the Remote Desktop Client. If you do not know how to access Command Prompt go to Opening Command Prompt in Windows.

2. Then type the following at the command prompt:

mstsc /span
3. Press Enter on your keyboard.

4. Type the following at the command prompt:
exit
5. Press Enter on your keyboard and you are done! (If it doesn't exactly work correctly then you will have to try mstsc /span with some additional options.
